EU-elections, last days for voting

For Swedes living in NZ who wants to vote in the EU elections:

The last days for voting is this coming Thursday & Friday, 8-9 May at the General Consulate of Sweden. Please note open hours are: 10-12.

All you need to bring is your Swedish Passport to prove you are a Swedish Citizen.

Midummer Celebrations 15th of February!

Saturday 15th of Feb at the Dutch Club House in Avalon, Taita Drive on the Avalon Park side.
From 11am to 3 pm.

Bring your family and friends and a picnic lunch and some greenery and flowers for the Maypole.

SENZ will provide a "tasting plate" with sill and potato as well as coffee and crème cake (gräddtårta).
Fishpond for the children.

Bring a gold coin for snaps - YES snaps!

Free event, but please let us know that you are coming so we have enough sill and gifts for children (let us know the age of children too..)

If its warm and sunny we will be outside, and if weather is bad we can be inside :-)

Please park outside the fence along Taita Drive.

Lucia Mingle this Friday (the 13th)

Lucia Mingle this Friday (the 13th) at Johanna's in Stokes Valley! There will be Glögg, saffron bread, gingerbread snaps and other yummies, we will also show the Swedish lucia live on TV. In Sweden our family and friends are celebrating Midsummer this weekend...
What better way to cure the midwinter blues than coming along to our Lucia Celebration this evening?

If you have not yet got tickets - don't despair - you can pay at the door (but please don't be late!)

When: Today Saturday 22nd June 2013
Where: Johnsonville Community Hall, 3 Frankmoore Avenue, Johnssonville
Time: 5 pm (Please don't be fashionably late for this event - you will miss out!)
Cost: $5 for children, $15 for adults

Glögg, Saffron buns, gingersnaps, biscuits, hotdogs (gold coin donation) and much more........ And yes the magician will be back - same procedure as last year. Don’t forget to bring money for our fantastic raffle as well!
SweNZ Taste will also be there with some Swedish goodies for sale!   See you there!

Lucia - 22 June - final Reminder.

Our annual Lucia Celebration is coming up. This is by far our most popular event. Glögg, Saffron buns, gingersnaps, biscuits, hotdogs (gold coin donation) and much more........ And yes the magician will be back - same procedure as last year. Don’t forget to bring money for sausages and our fantastic raffle as well!
