SENZ Food and recipe blog

Missed out on the AGM and Charlotte's Semlor? Or maybe you were there and crave more or those lovely Semlor and/or the green feta dip? Don't despair, on popular demand, the Sweden-New Zealand association has set up a food blog to publish the recipes of those dishes that we can't stop raving about after our gatherings. Click on the Swedish chef and he will take you straight to the SENZ food and recipe blog page. If we are lucky we might even be able to publish the winning meatball recipe on the blog... Keep an eye out!

Welcome to the new committee

Thank you to all of you who came along and turned our general AGM into a nice social gathering. I hope you all enjoyed Charlotte's "Selmor".

Going to Napier anyone??

Anyone planning a trip to Napier?
The Swedish school/playgroup, Svenskkul, is wondering if any of our members is going to Napier in the near future? A Swedish family in Napier has very kindly donated some Swedish children's books to us and we would love to have them. Only thing is, the cost of posting the books would be expensive, so we are hoping someone travelling to Napier would be willing to pick up the books for us and bring them back to Wellington?

If you are this person, please contact svenskkul@sweden.org.nz or Eva on: 021-0668612.

Swedish discussion group

Swedish as your second language? Want to meet with other kiwis and practise your Swedish?

As some of you know we used to have a Swedish discussion group for people who already knew some Swedish, but unfortunately the 2 ladies who ran the group got pregnant and moved back to Sweden...
Good news! We have found a new member of SENZ who is willing to start up the discussion group again. Katarina Ejerblad is a very bubbly and friendly person, who moved to New Zealand with her family in October 2009. She will hold the discussion group in her home in Roseneath on Mondays. There will be a small fee involved to cover her time and the material cost.

Please note, Katarina is not a teacher by trade and the discussion group is for people who already know some Swedish.

Want to know more/join? Please contact katarina on: katarina@sweden.org.nz
