Scandinavian Festival 2013: 22-24 Feb 2013

Still time to register and if you can't make it the whole weekend, come up for a day!

The Sweden-New Zealand Association will be there and show how to play kubb + we will also have a "Swedish Waffles" stall. If you are able to come and help in the Waffle Stall - please let Tinni know tinni@sweden.org.nz. The majority of the committee will be there having their own stalls, so we can really do with some extra waffle makers :-)

Monica and The Explosion - in Wellington 21 Feb

Monica and The Explosion is Monica Welander, an acoustic punk rock artist from Kalmar, Sweden.
Since the release of her debut album in 2007 she has been touring all around the world, solo or with a band, and she has aroused great interest and repect for her dynamic live performances and her songs wherever she has been.
The sound is best described as ”jukebox punk” - acoustic rock n'roll with attitude.

As part of the New Zealand tour 2013 she is performing in Wellington:

Midsummer - Saturday 9th feb

If you haven't already done so - it's time to register for our midsummer celebration, this coming Saturday the 9th Feb 2013.

By now you should have all received an invite in your email or letterbox. If you haven't, please contact eva@sweden.org.nz or Tinni on (04) 4999895 and we will send one out to you.

Please note, change of venue and a slightly different celebration this year!

The bakers is staring to bake and the Fishpond is being organised tomorrow (Friday) so we need to know numbers ASAP - send an email to eva@sweden.org.nz and let her know you are coming. If bringing kids we also need to know gender and age so we can get the appropriate gift.
